Benfica will refuse to sell midfielder Enzo Fernandes to Chelsea❓

According to Record, Benfica will not sell Fernandes to Chelsea for the current offer and are said to be close to a release clause. They want to pay for anything up front. Meanwhile, journalist Cesar Luis Merlo reports that talks have broken down as Benfica have given up hope of a deal with the London side.

The Blues have so far insisted they will not change their current valuation, although bids of around £100m are said to have been made. It has previously been reported that Chelsea want to pay £112m (€127m/$135m) in three installments. With a strong desire to strengthen their midfield, the Stamford Bridge club may decide to return to action before the end of the month.
Fernandes' stellar World Cup stint in Argentina has seen his prices skyrocket and Chelsea see him as one of world football's next big stars.
