Barcelona 3-1 Real Madrid To Win The Spanish Super Cup

In the final of the 2022-23 Supercopa de Espana Barcelona beat Real Madrid 3-0 away, claiming their first trophy with Xavi in charge of the club.
There were chances during the first half hour for both sides, with each usually-prolific striker - Karim Benzema and Robert Lewandowski - failing to convert opportunities.
In the 33rd minute Gavi opened the scoring, slotting home a lovely pass from Lewandowski.
In the 45th minute, Lewandowski scored 1 goal. The Pole doubled Barca's lead just before half-time, punishing a Real turnover in midfield.
In the 69th minute Pedri put the game out of reach with his team's third, tapping in a cross from Gavi to cap a lethal counter-attack.
Benzema scored a late consolation for Real in the 93rd minute, but it was far too late to change the outcome.
This is Barcelona's first Supercopa triumph since August 2018 and their 14th overall, the most all-time.
