It has been widely reported that Chelsea will pay as much as £30.5 million ($38 million) for the 20-year-old England youth international.

PSV have already offloaded one of their top attacking talents this month, with Cody Gackpo selling him to Liverpool after a stellar start to the 2022-23 campaign and an equally impressive World Cup campaign. Marduk now also looks set to head to the Premier League, with Chelsea allowed to discuss personal terms and arrange a medical, with a fee agreed verbally, according to the Evening Standard.

Born in Barnet, Madueke played mainly on the wing but occasionally in the middle, having spells in the youth teams at Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur before moving to the Netherlands, where he worked his way through PSV Eindhoven's academy camp growth. Manager Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted that the club would not be able to turn down an offer from Chelsea if they were strong enough and it now appears to be over.
