According to Fabrizio Romano, Polo is heading to London for a medical before he will join Antonio Conte's side. His new contract is expected to run until 2023. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but it is expected to be in the region of £40 million.

The 23-year-old was previously with Manchester City, but spent three years on loan at Sporting Club in Spain and Portugal before joining them permanently last summer.

Conte often deployed wing-backs, and Tottenham's options on the right were not satisfactory. Fans were disappointed with Emerson Royal, while Conte publicly criticized their other option, Matt Doherty. Porro should be an instant upgrade and should fit Conte's system.
