Pedro Porro from Sporting Join Tottenham Spurs in €45m Deal

Tottenham Hotspur completed a deal for Pedro Porro before the transfer window closed, with the Spanish defender from Sporting joining first on loan and moving permanently in the summer for a fee of €45 million.
Porro has been in great form since joining Sporting from Manchester City in 2020, and he was a key part of the club winning the Portuguese Super League, Sporting's first title in 19 years.
In order to complete the signing of the Spanish defender, who had been hoping to come to London, Spurs first terminated Matt Doherty's contract to join Atletico Madrid and loaned Djed Spence to Reading until the end of the season. This leaves Porro as another option for Conte at right-back.

Tottenham Hotspur is currently ranked fifth in the Premier League and fans are hoping that the club will be able to improve their results by signing great players to win Champions League qualification for next season. Club president Daniel Levy agreed to loan striker Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal, while sending Bryan Gil away, which gives them a bigger counterpart in the attacking line. Both deals are also seen as a sign of support from the club to manager Conte.
