Lazio senior: Bayern is the worst result we could have drawn in the draw

Dec. 19 -- Enrico Lotito, the son of Lazio director and president Claudio Lotito, recently talked about the upcoming Champions League round of 16 knockout match with Bayern Munich in an interview.

Lotito said: "This is the worst draw we could have had, it will be very difficult, but we will fight until the end. Bayern Munich are specialists in the Champions League and we want to continue as we have done before in the Champions League and we will try that against Bayern Munich."

Former Lazio sporting director Igli Tare said, "The big favorite is Bayern Munich. But this Lazio team is more mature than the last time we met them in the round of 16 in 2021. Lazio should not be underestimated, even though they are currently going through a difficult phase in the league. The team is capable of pulling off some surprises in the Champions League, as we have already seen in the group stage. There are only two months left in the competition and what matters is how motivated you are going into the game, which players are injured and how the team is in shape - anything can happen."

Tare said, "Kane, Sane, Kimmich, Muller, Coman, Mushara, these are players who can decide every game for themselves and if you look at the experience and goals of the team, the difference is huge, Bayern Munich want to win the Champions League, but accidents are always possible. As I said, Lazio are more mature than the last time they faced each other."
