Paris signs 20-year-old center back Berardo for $25 million and 18-year-old midfielder Moscardo for $25 million

December 19, 2012 - In an exclusive report by Santi Aouna, chief reporter of French media outlet Foot Mercato, the Paris management intends to strengthen the squad starting this winter in order to achieve its goals, prioritizing the back line.

While Pregneel Kimpembe is struggling to regain his form, Luis Enrique wants to break up the combination of Schick + Marquinhos that he suffered in Milan...

In this sense, according to FM, Paris Saint-Germain have started to look at the Brazilian market and have submitted a first offer of 20 million euros (plus 5 million in bonuses) for Lucas Beraldo, a 20-year-old center-back from São Paulo.

The left-footed defender played 47 matches (scoring one goal) with the Brazilian club during the just-concluded South American season, and was part of the Brazilian Under-20 national team that won the Copa do Brasil this year.

The player's agent is also set to travel to the French capital next week and according to him, his transfer to join Paris is almost complete. Medical tests could also be carried out quickly in the coming days, while both sides are still discussing whether they will join again this winter or next summer. Luis Campos and his team are looking into the situation of Berardo, but that's not all.

Paris have also made an initial offer of 22 million for a player who has agreed to join them, Corinthians' 18-year-old Brazilian midfielder Moscardo.

Negotiations continue, only the transfer is on the right track as Paris are in deep talks and have made an offer of 22 million euros (plus 3 million in bonuses). There are still a few details to be worked out, but the winter transfer window in Paris is moving fast.
