OFFICIAL: Brazil’s keeper set to join Saudi giants Al Nassr

The news comes after Al Nassr failed to lure Ederson from Manchester City as their €30 million bid was rejected by the English club who valued the keeper at €60 million.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Al Nassr won’t pursue Ederson anymore and has now revealed that his replacement is Athletico Paranaense keeper Bento.
Al Nassr wanted to replace Colombian keeper David Ospina, who departed for Atlético Nacional, with veteran keeper Waleed Abdullah also leaving on a free.

According to Romano, the deal cost Al Nassr €18 million, making him the club’s first signing ahead of what’s expected to be a very busy summer.
Bento, 25, came through the youth ranks of Athletico Paranaense, making 164 appearances for the club since 2021, amassing 58 clean sheets in the process and winning the Copa Sudamericana.
He also has two international caps to his name and was also part of the Brazil national team during the latest Copa America as he served as backup to Liverpool’s number one Alisson.
