Napoli Director Dismisses McTominay and Gilmour Links

Napoli sporting director, Giovanni Manna, has poured cold water on speculation linking the Serie A champions with a move for Manchester United's Scott McTominay and Chelsea's Billy Gilmour.

In a recent interview, Manna offered a succinct assessment of the two midfielders: "McTominay and Gilmour are very good players, but they’re not out players so, no comment."

The Italian club has been actively in the transfer market this summer, strengthening their squad ahead of the upcoming Serie A and Champions League campaigns. However, it appears that the midfield positions are not a priority for the Naples outfit at this time.

Manna's comments come as no surprise given Napoli's recent transfer activity and their focus on other areas of the squad. While McTominay and Gilmour have shown flashes of talent, it seems their profiles do not fit the current plans of the Serie A champions.
