Slot Rules Out Zubimendi Move After Real Sociedad Stay

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has ruled out the possibility of signing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi this summer.
The Basque midfielder had been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks, with reports suggesting that Liverpool had made a significant bid for his services. However, Zubimendi ultimately decided to stay at Real Sociedad, extending his contract with the club.
In a press conference ahead of Liverpool's upcoming match, Slot confirmed that the club had no intention of pursuing Zubimendi any further. "There is no point talking about Zubimendi anymore because he stayed with Real Sociedad," he said.
The Dutch manager also emphasized that Liverpool are still actively looking to strengthen their squad during the transfer window. While he did not provide any specific details about potential targets, Slot suggested that the club are exploring a number of options in different positions.
With the transfer deadline fast approaching, Liverpool fans will be eager to see if the club can successfully bring in new signings to bolster their squad for the upcoming season.
