Real Madrid tracking €30 million-rated Ajax teenage prodigy – Romano

Real Madrid Eyeing Reinforcements in Centre-Back Position
Real Madrid are actively exploring the transfer market for centre-back reinforcements after a serious ACL injury sidelined Eder Militao for at least nine months. Additionally, David Alaba’s slow recovery has prompted the club to seek a new defender in January, with the possibility of adding another central defender in the summer.
Several names have already been linked to the club, including Aymeric Laporte, Castello Lukeba, and more recently, Jonathan Tah. Adding to their list of targets is AFC Ajax and Netherlands defender Jorrel Hato, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Jorrel Hato on Real Madrid’s Radar
Jorrel Hato, who joined Ajax in 2018 and quickly advanced through their academy ranks, has made 81 senior appearances despite being just 18 years old. Versatile enough to play as a centre-back or left-back, Hato has scored three goals and provided four assists in 20 matches this season.
Hato’s age, potential, and experience at the top level make him an appealing target for Real Madrid, aligning with their typical player profile. His left-footedness further enhances his attractiveness to the club.
However, Hato is under contract with Ajax until 2028, which means Real Madrid may need to pay a substantial transfer fee to secure his services.
