Late Equalizer Stalls Juventus in 1-1 Draw Against Atalanta

Juventus were held to another draw, finishing 1-1 against Atalanta in Serie A on Tuesday. Pierre Kalulu's early second-half goal was equalized late by Mateo Retegui.

After the break, Juventus came out aggressively and nearly took the lead when Kalulu's header from a corner hit the post and rolled along the line before being cleared by Carnesecchi.

The ball then fell to Khephren Thuram, whose blocked attempt led to a counter-attack for Atalanta, ending with Mario Pasalic sending a shot wide from the edge of the box.

Following Kalulu's goal, the intensity remained high, with Atalanta's Ederson forcing a diving save from Michele Di Gregorio just minutes later.

Atalanta came close again when Ademola Lookman's shot on the hour mark was cleared off the line by Koopmeiners.

As Atalanta applied more pressure, their efforts paid off with Retegui's equalizer, which brought him to the top of the Serie A scoring chart with 13 goals.

In the final moments, both goalkeepers were busy, with Carnesecchi stretching to save a header from Manuel Locatelli, while Di Gregorio used his legs to deny Nicolo Zaniolo in a one-on-one situation a minute later.

Both teams had chances to win in the closing minutes, with Juventus's Kenan Yildiz nearly securing victory as his angled shot skimmed the post in stoppage time.
