Paris and Liverpool Looking to Sign Kimmich on a Free Transfer; He Informed Bayern's Management of His Desire to Win the Champions League

January 15 News: Christian Falk, editor-in-chief of the German media outlet Bild, has exclusively revealed the details behind Joshua Kimmich's contract renewal negotiations.

Last Wednesday, Kimmich met with Bayern officials Eberl and Floyd at Bayern's headquarters on Säbener Straße. During this meeting, Kimmich clearly stated to them, "I'm sorry, I'm not ready yet; let me think about it some more."

In the negotiations, Kimmich also informed Bayern's management that, for him, it’s important for the club to build a squad capable of winning the Champions League in the future.

Kimmich referenced a player he admires, Olise. He hopes Bayern will sign more players like Olise. Additionally, during the last wave of contract renewals, Kimmich was the first to sign; this time, he wants to take a wait-and-see approach.

What will happen to key players like Jamal Musiala (21) and Alphonso Davies (24)? Kimmich will turn 30 next February, and he knows that his next contract will likely be the last big one of his career.

It’s worth noting that last summer, Bayern genuinely wanted to sell Kimmich, reportedly setting a transfer fee of €35 million. Paris Saint-Germain showed significant interest, with Campos reaching out to Bayern directly.

PSG is now once again interested in Kimmich. According to Sport Bild, English clubs, including Liverpool, are actively inviting Kimmich to join them.

Kimmich acts as his own agent, essentially promoting himself to other teams, and Liverpool is seriously considering signing him.

On top of that, Manchester City is no longer looking at Kimmich; Barcelona does not have the funds to pursue him; and Kimmich himself has a strong liking for Real Madrid.
