Solskjaer Wants Casemiro Reunion at Beşiktaş

New Beşiktaş manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær has reportedly requested the signing of former Manchester United teammate Casemiro before the Turkish transfer window closes.

Solskjær, who managed United between 2018 and 2021, is keen to bolster his midfield options and believes the experienced Brazilian could be a valuable asset to the Turkish Super Lig side. Casemiro joined United from Real Madrid in 2022 but has fallen out of favor under current manager Erik ten Hag.

The potential move would see the two former United colleagues reunited, having previously played together at Old Trafford. Beşiktaş are currently fifth in the Turkish Super Lig and are looking to challenge for the title.

The transfer window in Turkey closes on February 8th, leaving Solskjær and Beşiktaş little time to finalize a deal. However, with Casemiro reportedly available for transfer, a move could be on the cards.
