Dewa United's Victory Over PSIS Semarang Alters Liga 1 Standings

The Liga 1 2024-25 standings saw a shift after Dewa United triumphed 4-1 over PSIS Semarang at the Jatidiri Stadium in Semarang on Monday, February 3. Despite being the home team, PSIS took an early lead in the fifth minute with a goal from Sudi Abdallah, who capitalized on an assist from Lucas Barreto.
However, Dewa United quickly responded, leveling the score in the 37th minute thanks to Alex Ferreira. Just eight minutes later, Alex added another to complete a brace, putting Dewa United ahead 2-1 before halftime.
The second half saw Dewa United continue their dominance, adding two more goals. Alex completed his hat-trick in the 49th minute, and Ricky Kambuaya sealed the victory with a goal in injury time.
With the win, Dewa United strengthened their position in fourth place with 37 points, just one point behind Persebaya Surabaya in third. Meanwhile, PSIS Semarang’s home defeat left them in 13th place on the table with 21 points.
At the top of the table, Persib Bandung holds the lead with 46 points, while Persija Jakarta sits in second with 39 points. The bottom three spots are occupied by Semen Padang, Madura United, and Persis Solo, all of whom are struggling to avoid relegation.
