"I warned the players against conceding chances," Flick told TVE.  Despite initially overcoming a two-goal deficit and later establishing a 4-2 lead, Barcelona couldn't hold on, allowing Atletico to equalize in the final minutes.  Flick acknowledged the missed opportunity to take an advantage into the second leg.  He stressed the importance of analyzing the conceded goals and correcting the mistakes, though he also noted the team's youth and potential for growth.  However, he made it clear that youth is no excuse for such defensive lapses.

While frustrated, Flick also saw positives in the performance, particularly in attack. He praised Atletico's resilience and acknowledged their strong performance.  He felt Barcelona controlled the game for a majority of the time but faltered defensively in the crucial final moments.  Flick admitted disbelief at the fourth goal conceded.
