Crystal Palace shattered Aston Villa's European hopes with a resounding 4-1 victory, marred by two disallowed Villa goals.  Villa, aiming for a top-four finish, saw their early lead nullified when Jacob Ramsey's goal, assisted by Ollie Watkins, was flagged offside.

Palace capitalized on the reprieve, taking the lead moments later. Ismaila Sarr tapped in from close range after Adam Wharton's brilliant pass found Chris Richards, who teed up Sarr.  A VAR check confirmed the goal, boosting Palace's confidence.  Emi Martinez then denied Sarr a second with a fantastic close-range save.

Villa thought they'd equalized when Morgan Rogers met Watkins' cut-back, but VAR intervened again, disallowing the goal.  Undeterred, Villa finally found the net after halftime.  Substitute goalkeeper Robin Olsen's long ball found Watkins, who headed it to Rogers for an impressive finish.

Palace quickly responded, with Jean-Philippe Mateta restoring their lead with a clinical left-footed strike.  Despite late efforts from substitutes Marco Asensio and Marcus Rashford, Sarr sealed the deal with a volley past Olsen.  Substitute Eddie Nketiah added a fourth goal in extra time, completing the rout.

The win, Palace's fourth in six games, lifts them to 12th place.  Villa, meanwhile, drop to 10th, their European aspirations dealt a significant blow.
