Neymar's Potential Return to Barcelona: Conditions and Motivations Amid Injury Challenges

On March 3, Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo reported on updates regarding the situation between Barcelona and Santos forward Neymar, provided by South American football news journalist Joaquim Piera.
Mundo Deportivo states that when considering signing Neymar, Barcelona has set an initial condition: he must return to his best form at Santos. It has been made clear to Neymar that, “You need to score 15 goals with Santos before we will consider signing you.”
Meanwhile, the Brazilian star’s entourage has revealed that Neymar wishes to return to Barcelona, where he experienced some of the happiest times of his life. Neymar still has a deep desire to prove himself; he wants to show the world that he can achieve goals that he has yet to fulfill in his career, and that he is capable of playing and making an impact at one of the world’s top clubs. Barcelona is also on the rise again, competing for titles in all major tournaments.
Additionally, one of the main reasons Neymar is considering Barcelona is the upcoming 2026 World Cup. He will be 34 years old at that time, and it will be his last chance to win the World Cup.
However, Barcelona will not accept Neymar's arrival unconditionally. First, they want to observe his performance at Santos until the summer transfer window opens, as the club wants to know if the 33-year-old Neymar can still maintain good performance and attendance.
Since returning to Santos, Neymar has contributed 3 goals and 3 assists in 7 matches.
