Al Hilal Offers Van Dijk €20 Million Annually as Liverpool Captain Weighs Future

On March 13, French media outlet L'Équipe reported by renowned journalist José Barroso that Al Hilal has offered Virgil van Dijk a salary of 20 million euros per year after tax through intermediaries.

The Liverpool captain is considering the transfer but has not yet responded, as he prefers to focus on the conclusion of Liverpool's season, especially the upcoming League Cup final against Newcastle on Sunday, as well as pursuing another Premier League title.
Before the Club World Cup this summer, Al Hilal ambitiously offered a golden opportunity to Raphinha, but the 28-year-old Brazilian rejected it. He has a contract with Barcelona until 2027 and prefers to stay with the club as his goals include the 2026 World Cup and achieving success with both Barcelona and the Brazilian national team.
