Lionel Messi Misses Upcoming World Cup Qualifiers

On March 18, the Argentine national team announced their roster for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, but captain Lionel Messi will be sidelined due to injury.
In a social media post, Messi expressed his disappointment, stating: “I’m very sorry to miss these important matches against Uruguay and Brazil with the national team. I really wanted to play, but a minor injury means I need to rest for a while, so I can’t join the national team for these games. I will support and cheer like any other fan. Go Argentina!!”
Argentina is set to face Uruguay on March 22 and Brazil on March 26 in crucial qualifying matches. Messi's absence will be felt, but the team will look to perform strongly in his stead.
