Bayern Munich Falls to Inter Milan in Champions League Quarter-Finals First Leg

On April 9, in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, Bayern Munich lost 1-2 at home to Inter Milan.
This marks Bayern's first home loss to an Italian team in official competitions since 2011.
The previous loss in 2011 was also in the Champions League knockout stage, against the same opponent—Inter Milan. In the second leg of the 2010-11 season, Bayern was defeated by Pandev's last-minute goal, resulting in a 3-3 aggregate score, but they were eliminated due to fewer away goals.
Fourteen years later, Allianz Arena has once again been breached by the same Italian opponent.
