Persib Bandung was held to a 2-2 draw by Borneo FC in a captivating encounter at Segiri Stadium, Samarinda, on Friday evening in the 28th week of BRI Liga 1 2024/2025. The result means Persib had to settle for a single point on their travels.
The home side, Borneo FC, drew first blood in the 28th minute with a powerful strike from Mariano Peralta. However, Persib managed to level the score just before halftime when Tyronne del Pino converted a penalty in the 44th minute.
Coming out with renewed vigor after the break, Persib Bandung took the lead in the 51st minute. Del Pino once again found the back of the net, putting the visitors ahead 2-1. Just when victory seemed within reach for Maung Bandung, Peralta struck again for Borneo FC in the 86th minute, his well-placed shot eluding the Persib goalkeeper and securing a 2-2 draw.
Despite failing to secure all three points, the draw keeps Persib Bandung in contention, with their championship aspirations remaining open as the BRI Liga 1 season progresses.
