According to a report by iNews on April 13, the media outlet discussed some insider details regarding Mohamed Salah's contract renewal.

iNews stated that despite the constant criticism from keyboard warriors on social media, there has never been any panic within Liverpool regarding the contract stalemate involving the club's three greatest players.

Reports indicate that Liverpool's management has never proposed a pay cut for Salah's new contract, and Salah has never asked for a higher salary. From the beginning, both parties have intended to reach an agreement and are aware of the necessity to do so.
Several sources mentioned that Saudi Arabian clubs abandoned their pursuit of Salah long ago. When Saudi clubs first attempted to sign the Egyptian forward in 2023, Salah was tempted by the wealth from the Middle East. According to the BBC, the Saudi side offered a total contract worth €500 million, but Salah declined. Liverpool also rejected a £150 million offer from the Saudi league for Salah.

Given Salah's achievements in England, there were hopes that he might be ready to accept the wealth and admiration from Saudi Arabia. At 32, he remains in extraordinary form and still has unfinished business in England.
