The 25-year-old Canadian forward, whose contract with the Ligue 1 club expires in June, has attracted interest from several European giants, including Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Juventus. However, West Ham are making a strong case to bolster their attacking options despite their current 16th-place standing in the Premier League with 35 points.

David has been in scintillating form, boasting an impressive 0.77 goals and assists per minute in the 2024/25 Ligue 1 season, with 14 goals and three assists in 1991 minutes. His overall tally this season stands at 28 goals and five assists across all competitions, making him a prime target.
