Inzaghi Receives Major Offer from Al-Hilal Ahead of Champions League Final
On May 23, French media reports from notable journalists José Barroso and Valentin Pauluzzi indicate that Inter Milan's coach Simone Inzaghi has indeed received a significant offer from Saudi Arabia just before the UEFA Champions League final.
In recent days, this deal has been leaked, and the timing is not ideal, as there are only eight days until the Champions League final. The 49-year-old Inzaghi has been the head coach of Inter Milan since 2021 and is under close scrutiny from the Saudi club Al-Hilal, which hopes to hire him as their new head coach.

A few weeks ago, the chairman of this Gulf club even traveled to Milan to meet with the renowned coach at his home.

Initially, Inzaghi rejected these proposals, but Al-Hilal insisted on pushing their ideas further.

A few days ago, the coach's wife—though not very enthusiastic—traveled with one of their sons to Riyadh to explore living conditions there.

According to a source familiar with the matter, the Saudi club's executives have recently expressed optimism about signing Inzaghi, with a two-year contract worth approximately €50 million, an astronomical figure.

No agreement has been signed yet, but discussions about squad adjustments have already taken place. Clearly, timing is crucial, as the Nerazzurri are approaching two key deadlines:
The intense battle for the Serie A title against Napoli (Milan is currently one point behind before the final round of Serie A this Friday) and the Champions League final on May 31.

Inter Milan has not responded to this sensitive issue. Inzaghi's entourage did not deny it but explained that they are "unaware of anything."

The main issue lies with Al-Hilal, as they are too eager and have approached Inzaghi directly before the end of the season without proper etiquette.

In recent weeks, they have been turned down by Marco Silva (Fulham) and Unai Emery (Aston Villa), and they hope to recruit Inzaghi, who only renewed his contract with Inter last summer (until 2026).

If he ultimately declines, Al-Hilal has already prepared a short-term or long-term backup list. This list includes former Lille and Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier, who is currently managing Al-Duhail in Qatar.
