Manchester United Set to Challenge Liverpool in Race for French Striker Hugo Ekitike
Liverpool’s pursuit of Hugo Ekitike may not go as smoothly as expected, with Manchester United reportedly entering the race for the young French striker. Both Premier League clubs are in search of attacking reinforcements ahead of the new season, and Ekitike’s recent performances at Eintracht Frankfurt have made him a highly sought-after target. His style of play is seen as a good fit for both teams, making the competition for his signature even more intense.
At Liverpool, the need for a new forward has become a priority following inconsistent form from Darwin Núñez. New manager Arne Slot is looking for a striker who better suits his tactical approach, and Ekitike has emerged as a top candidate. However, Manchester United is facing a similar situation, as current forward RasmusHøjlund has yet to consistently meet expectations.
