Mexico Defeats USA 2-1 to Claim Record 10th CONCACAF Gold Cup Title

In the CONCACAF Gold Cup final, Mexico triumphed over the United States 2-1, successfully defending their title and further cementing their dominance in the tournament.
This victory marks Mexico’s 10th Gold Cup championship since the tournament was rebranded in 1991. If counting pre-reform titles, it is their 13th overall, extending their record as the most successful team in the competition—surpassing the combined totals of the USA (7) and Canada (1).
Mexico has been a dominant force in recent years, reaching the final in each of the last four editions and lifting the trophy three times. Their only stumble came in the 2021 final, where they fell 0-1 to the USA.
Recent Gold Cup Finals:
2025: USA 1-2 Mexico
2023: Mexico 1-0 Panama
2021: USA 1-0 Mexico
2019: USA 0-1 Mexico
With this latest triumph, El Tri continues to solidify its legacy as the king of CONCACAF.
