Fenerbahçe Nears Deal for PSG Defender Milan Škriniar

Fenerbahçe is on the verge of securing a major transfer coup with Paris Saint-Germain defender Milan Škriniar, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The Turkish giants are in the final stages of negotiations, with a new bid submitted last week paving the way for the Slovakian centre-back’s potential move to Istanbul.
Škriniar, 30, spent the second half of the last season on loan at Fenerbahçe, where he impressed under manager Jose Mourinho. The club is now working to finalize details with PSG, who are expected to greenlight the transfer, allowing Škriniar to travel to Turkey as early as this week. Reports suggest Fenerbahçe has agreed on a contract with Škriniar, offering him an annual salary of approximately €6-7 million, a significant reduction from his current €12 million at PSG.
The transfer fee is rumored to be around €12 million, including bonuses, reflecting PSG’s willingness to offload the player, who has been sidelined due to high wages. Škriniar’s arrival would bolster Fenerbahçe’s defense, aligning with Mourinho’s tactical vision to transform the club into a European contender. His experience, including a standout stint at Inter Milan, adds depth to an already ambitious squad overhaul.
