Nottingham Forest Seal £34m Deal for Swiss Star Dan Ndoye

Nottingham Forest have completed the signing of Swiss international Dan Ndoye from Bologna in a deal worth £34 million (€40m), plus up to £4.2m (€5m) in add-ons, with a 10% sell-on clause included. The 24-year-old forward, capable of playing as a winger or wingback, has signed a five-year contract, extendable to June 2031, marking a bold move for the Premier League club.
Ndoye, who scored eight goals in 30 Serie A appearances last season, rose to prominence during EURO 2024, where he netted against Germany and helped Switzerland reach the quarter-finals. His transfer, finalized after a successful medical, underscores Forest’s ambition to bolster their squad following their promotion in 2022. The deal was reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, confirming all negotiations are complete.
The Swiss star began his career at Lausanne before stints at Nice and Basel, joining Bologna in 2023 alongside teammate Riccardo Calafiori. His versatility and international experience, with 22 caps, add depth to Forest’s attack. This signing comes as the club navigates recent financial fair play challenges, having faced a four-point deduction in 2024, signaling a strategic shift toward long-term stability and competitiveness in the Premier League.
