Fulham Poised to Break Transfer Record with €42m Kevin Move

September 1, 2025 – Fulham Football Club is on the brink of securing a landmark transfer, agreeing to a €42m deal plus add-ons with Shakhtar Donetsk for Brazilian winger Kevin Santos Lopes de Macedo. The 22-year-old, known simply as Kevin, could become the club’s most expensive signing, surpassing the £34m paid for Emile Smith-Rowe. The transfer, reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, hinges on finalizing personal terms with the player, who arrived in London late yesterday with his agent.
Kevin has impressed at Shakhtar, scoring 17 goals in 57 appearances since joining in January 2024 for €12m plus add-ons. His standout performances, including four goals and two assists in three Europa League qualifier matches this season, have caught Fulham’s eye. Under manager Marco Silva, who led the team to a record 53-point Premier League campaign last season, the club is aiming to bolster its attacking options.
The deal’s completion remains uncertain as negotiations continue. Historical data suggests 15% of transfers falter at this stage due to personal terms disputes. If successful, Kevin’s youth and potential could mark a new era for Fulham, aligning with their ambition to climb the Premier League table.
