Now 40, Ronaldo received the Globe Prestige Award, a gleaming tribute to his 22 unyielding years with the Portuguese national team.During the ceremony, Ronaldo delivered a poignant acceptance speech, expressing pride in his longevity and ongoing impact. “I know some might be tired of seeing me at these ceremonies, but I’m proud and happy,” he said. He emphasized his continued contribution to both Portugal and his club, Al-Nassr, where he scored 35 goals in 39 games during the 2024-25 season. Ronaldo also reaffirmed his commitment to the national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Ireland and Hungary.
The Globe Soccer Awards, established in 2010, celebrate global football excellence and have recognized Ronaldo three times as Best Player, cementing his status as the event’s most decorated recipient with 12 total awards.
