Carragher: Argentina, Spain, and France are World Cup Favorites, England Has Potential to Surprise

October 23 - Recently, in an interview with CBS Sports, Carragher shared his views on the favorites to win next year's World Cup.
Carragher stated: "For next year's World Cup, we must keep an eye on Argentina—they are the defending champions. Could this be the last time we see Messi in an international tournament? They are likely to receive massive support from fans, especially if they play in Miami—Messi has built tremendous popularity during his time in MLS and with Miami."
"As for European teams, Spain has Yamal; France has Mbappé, who is undoubtedly one of the very best players in world football today. Of course, France also has impactful players like Dembélé."
"Every time I look ahead to an international tournament, I find it hard not to consider France as one of the favorites. England and Portugal are in the same tier, what I'd call 'second-tier favorites.' The teams I mentioned earlier (Argentina, Spain, France) are the true top contenders, while England has a certain potential to pull off a surprise."
