Juventus Sack Igor Tudor, Eye Luciano Spalletti as Replacement

Juventus have parted ways with head coach Igor Tudor following a disappointing start to the 2025-26 Serie A season, marked by an eight-game winless streak. The Croatian manager, appointed in March 2025, was dismissed on Monday after a 1-0 defeat to Lazio, leaving the club in eighth place with only 10 wins in 24 matches. The decision marks Juventus’ third managerial change in less than 18 months, underscoring ongoing instability at the Allianz Stadium.
Massimo Brambilla, coach of Juventus’ U23 side, will serve as interim manager for Wednesday’s match against Udinese as the club searches for a long-term replacement. Reports indicate advanced negotiations with former Napoli and Italy coach Luciano Spalletti, who could be unveiled as early as Thursday. Spalletti, sacked by the Italian FA in June after a lackluster Euro 2024, is seen as a stabilizing force, bringing experience from his Serie A title win with Napoli in 2022-23.
The club faces financial constraints, still paying Thiago Motta’s staff, which may influence the hiring process. Juventus aim to reverse their fortunes and reclaim their position among Italy’s elite, with Spalletti’s appointment potentially signaling a return to tactical discipline.
