Declan Rice Brace Secures Comeback Win for Arsenal at Bournemouth

Declan Rice scored twice in the second half as Premier League leaders Arsenal fought back from an early deficit to defeat Bournemouth 3-2, extending their advantage at the top of the table to six points.
The visitors fell behind after just 10 minutes when centre-back Gabriel Magalhães' misplaced pass allowed Evanilson to slot into an empty net. However, Gabriel quickly atoned for his error, equalising six minutes later with a powerful finish following a driving run from Noni Madueke.
Arsenal struggled for rhythm in a scrappy first half but emerged transformed after the break. Rice, returning from a knee issue that sidelined him midweek, broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with a composed low finish from the edge of the box, assisted by Martin Ødegaard. The England midfielder doubled his tally – his first Premier League brace – in the 71st minute, side-footing home after good work from substitute Bukayo Saka. Both goals showcased Rice's growing attacking threat from midfield.
Bournemouth substitute Eli Junior Kroupi pulled one back with a stunning long-range strike in the 76th minute, setting up a tense finish. The hosts pressed hard but Arsenal held firm to claim a fifth consecutive league victory.
The result avenges Bournemouth's double over Arsenal last season and keeps Mikel Arteta's side firmly in control of the title race heading into 2026.
