​Scotland Beat Haiti, Secure First World Cup Win Since 1990 Against Sweden

June 14 – In the World Cup group stage, Scotland defeated Haiti 1-0.

This marks Scotland's first victory in the World Cup finals since 1990.

Scotland's last World Cup win came in their second group stage match of the 1990 tournament, when they beat Sweden 2-1. In the 1998 World Cup, Scotland failed to win any of their group matches.

Their last opening-match victory at a World Cup dates back to 1982, when they thrashed New Zealand 5-2.
