Kylian Mbappé produced a masterclass performance as Real Madrid bounced back in style, crushing local rivals Rayo Vallecano 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabéu on Saturday night.

Carlo Ancelotti’s side immediately took command, stamping their authority inside the opening quarter of an hour. The breakthrough came in the 14th minute when Mbappé confidently dispatched a penalty after Álvaro Carreras was brought down in the area. Just three minutes later, Carreras turned from foul-drawer to goalscorer, drilling a precise left-footed strike into the bottom corner following a brilliant assist from Mbappé to make it 2-0.
