Leeds United Thrash Newcastle 4-1 at Elland Road to Climb to Third in Premier League

Leeds United continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with a commanding 4-1 victory over Newcastle United at Elland Road, climbing to third place in the table.

Daniel Farke's side blew the visitors away with a devastating 14-minute blitz late in the first half. The breakthrough came in the 32nd minute when Ao Tanaka's effort deflected off Newcastle midfielder Lewis Miley for an own goal. Just two minutes later, Jayden Bogle doubled the advantage with a clinical finish. Dominic Calvert-Lewin then added a third in first-half stoppage time, firing a low strike past the keeper to put Leeds in total control.

The hosts refused to let up after the break. In the 59th minute, Noah Okafor scored an exquisite half-volley to make it 4-0 and put the result beyond doubt. Newcastle managed a late consolation goal in the 90th minute through substitute Bazoumana Touré, but it did little to spoil the celebrations for the home crowd.

With eight points from their opening four matches, Leeds United sit just four points behind league leaders Arsenal, underscoring their impressive momentum and top-four ambitions this season.
