Lampard's Coventry Smash Newcastle 4-1 for Historic Premier League Win

Coventry City secured a historic 4-1 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday, marking their first Premier League home win in 25 years and lifting Frank Lampard’s side out of the relegation zone.
The Sky Blues enjoyed a dream start at the Coventry Building Society Arena. Just six minutes in, Newcastle goalkeeper Lukás Hornícek conceded a penalty, which Jack Rudoni calmly converted. Coventry doubled their lead early in the second half when Sidiki Cherif struck a low shot from a long throw-in.
Newcastle threatened a comeback in the 70th minute when defender Sven Botman fired a stunning long-range volley into the top corner. However, Coventry's substitutes emphatically sealed the three points. Ellis Simms capitalized on a Joelinton mistake in the 81st minute to score a deflected third, before 18-year-old defender Stephen Mfuni smashed home a late fourth from a tight angle, becoming the club's youngest-ever Premier League goalscorer.
The dominant performance moves Coventry up to 14th in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester United, while pressure mounts on Newcastle after a disappointing defensive display.
