Mbangula Hat-Trick Steals the Show as Bologna Stun AC Milan 4-2

Samuel Mbangula netted a sensational hat-trick as Bologna staged a thrilling second-half comeback to defeat AC Milan 4-2 at the San Siro on Monday, handing Milan manager Rúben Amorim his first Serie A defeat.

Bologna opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Mbangula clinical slot home an early cross. However, the hosts responded quickly. Teenage forward Alphadjo Cissé spearheaded Milan’s resurgence, scoring a quickfire brace in the 14th and 27th minutes to give the Rossoneri a 2-1 lead heading into the break.

The tide turned dramatically after the hour mark. In the 60th minute, Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi accidentally turned the ball into his own net from a dangerous free-kick, leveling the score. Just two minutes later, Mbangula struck again, converting Juan Miranda's left-wing cross to restore Bologna's lead.

Milan threw men forward in search of an equalizer but were caught on the counter-attack in the 86th minute. Mbangula completed his hat-trick with a sharp finish from Jens Odgaard’s precise cross, sealing an unforgettable victory for the visitors. The result leaves AC Milan in fifth place with 18 points, while city rivals Inter Milan capitalize on the slip-up to climb to the top of the Serie A standings.
