Bayern Firm on De Ligt Valuation: €50m Fixed Fee for Man United

Bayern Munich have maintained a steadfast stance in their negotiations with Manchester United for the transfer of Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt. According to multiple sources, the German champions have consistently demanded a fixed fee of €50 million for the former Juventus and Ajax star.  

Despite interest from the Premier League giants, Bayern have shown no inclination to compromise on their valuation of the 24-year-old centre-back. This firm position has reportedly led to a stalemate in the transfer talks, with United potentially exploring alternative defensive options.

De Ligt joined Bayern from Juventus in 2022 for a fee of around €70 million. While he has shown glimpses of his talent, the Bavarians appear to be open to parting ways with the defender if their financial demands are met.  

As the transfer window progresses, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United will return with an improved offer or pursue other defensive targets. Bayern, on the other hand, will continue to assess their options and determine the best course of action for their squad.
