Guardiola Rejects Alvarez Transfer Speculation

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has firmly dismissed rumors linking striker Julian Alvarez with a move to Atlético Madrid. The Argentine forward has been the subject of intense transfer speculation, with the Spanish club reportedly keen on securing his services.  

However, Guardiola was unequivocal in his stance on the matter. "Atlético? I've nothing to say," he stated. "He's our player, he's coming back soon."  

The City boss went on to express his excitement about Alvarez's return, highlighting the player's importance to the squad. "I count on him," Guardiola added. "I'm sure when he comes back, I'll congratulate him for the Copa America, and we start to work together."  

Guardiola's comments appear to have quashed any speculation regarding Alvarez's future, at least for the time being. The Argentine forward is set to return to Manchester City following a successful international campaign and will be expected to play a key role in the club's upcoming season.
