Barcelona Offers Frenkie de Jong Contract Extension Amid Strong Interest from Premier League Clubs

On March 6, Daily Sports reporter Ferran Correas reported that Barcelona has officially offered Frenkie de Jong a contract extension privately.

Barcelona's sporting director Deco met with the Dutch midfielder's agent, Ali Dursun, on February 19 and submitted a new extension offer since the previous contract proposal had expired. De Jong will turn 28 in May next year, and his new contract is set for three seasons.

In terms of salary, it will remain the same, ranging between €18 million and €19 million per year.

Considering the contract that is set to expire in 2026, Deco is eager for De Jong to respond in the coming weeks. He is aware that even the midfielder's agent has received significant offers from the Premier League.
