AC Milan to Part Ways with João Félix as Chelsea Seeks New Club for Portuguese Star

In a significant transfer update, AC Milan has decided against signing João Félix on a permanent deal this summer, as reported by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. The 25-year-old Portuguese forward, currently on loan from Chelsea, will return to the Premier League club at the end of the 2024-25 season. Chelsea, who re-signed Félix for £46.3 million last summer on a seven-year contract, is now tasked with finding a new destination for the player, who has struggled to secure a consistent role.
Félix’s loan stint at Milan followed earlier spells with Barcelona and Atlético Madrid, where he was part of the 2020-21 La Liga-winning squad. Despite scoring on his Milan debut in a 3-1 Coppa Italia win over Roma, his time in Serie A has been marred by tensions, notably highlighted during a match against Napoli. Milan’s Kyle Walker was overheard telling Félix, “Just pass the ball. We are not Messi, no one here is Messi,” a nod to Lionel Messi’s unmatched brilliance.
Chelsea will assess Félix’s future in the summer, with potential moves to clubs like Dortmund or Leipzig being speculated, as fans await the next chapter in his career.
