Kevin De Bruyne Announces Departure from Manchester City at End of 2024-25 Season

Kevin De Bruyne has confirmed that he will leave Manchester City as a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season. The Belgian midfielder made his return to England in 2015 after a challenging stint at Chelsea, and his impact at City has been nothing short of legendary.
Over the course of his career, De Bruyne has helped City secure six Premier League titles, along with a League Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League victory. With more than 400 appearances for the club, he has become a central figure in their success.
After a decade at the Etihad Stadium, De Bruyne has decided it’s time for a new chapter, potentially outside of Europe. In a heartfelt message to Manchester City fans, he expressed his deep gratitude for his time at the club and the city.
De Bruyne reflected on how football brought him to Manchester, where he chased his dreams and achieved everything he had hoped for, both on and off the pitch. He thanked the club, the fans, his teammates, and his family for their support over the past ten years.
With 118 assists, De Bruyne sits second on the Premier League's all-time assist chart, trailing only Ryan Giggs. As his time at Manchester City draws to a close, speculation has already begun about his potential destinations, with the Saudi Pro League and Major League Soccer among the possible options.
