Freiburg Poised for Profitable Summer

On April 8, reports from German media outlets such as Kicker and Bild indicate that Bundesliga club SC Freiburg may experience their most lucrative summer in history.
Kevin Schade (23) transferred to Brentford last summer for €25 million, and Freiburg possesses Merlin Röhr (22), a versatile player who has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs.
Röhr became a key player for Freiburg last season, making 24 appearances in the Bundesliga and scoring 6 goals. He also made a strong impression in the Germany U21 national team, starting all 9 of his caps.
Kicker reports that Everton is pursuing the 1.92-meter tall midfielder with the aim of signing him this summer. Meanwhile, Bild reveals that Liverpool, Newcastle, and Crystal Palace, managed by Glasner, are also closely monitoring Röhr's situation.
Röhr currently has a market value of €12 million, but he only signed a new contract with Freiburg last fall, meaning interested clubs will need to pay a significant fee.
Freiburg expects to receive a price similar to that of Schade, estimating that they would demand at least over €20 million for Röhr.
