Transfer Update: Sunderland's Midfielder Riggs Attracting Premier League Attention

As reported by iNews, several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham, and Everton, are vying for Sunderland midfielder Riggs. At just 17 years old, he is regarded as one of England's most promising young talents, catching the eye of numerous scouts across the league.
Clubs such as West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United have been monitoring Riggs closely, with Newcastle maintaining a long-standing interest. Liverpool’s scouts have also assessed him recently.
With Riggs' contract at Sunderland running until 2027, the club may have plans for him depending on their promotion prospects. If Sunderland successfully ascends, Riggs is likely to stay; however, if they fail to secure promotion, he could be on his way out, especially given Sunderland's history of player sales. Recently, they sold Watson to Brighton for £8 million.
Reports suggest that Riggs' transfer fee could be significantly higher than the £30 million Tottenham paid for talented midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds last year. While Sunderland has yet to receive any formal offers for Riggs, sources indicate that as the season draws to a close, interest in him is expected to intensify.
This season, Riggs has made 40 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 1 assist, with a current market value estimated at €16 million.
