World Cup Euro Qualifiers Group A Scenario: Germany Can Qualify with Home Draw Against Slovakia in Final Round

November 15 – Following tonight's World Cup European qualifiers, the situation in Group A has become clearer.
Northern Ireland, who previously held hopes of qualification, now sit on only 6 points after a 0-1 away loss to Slovakia, eliminating them from the top two spots. Germany and Slovakia have secured the group's top two positions, guaranteeing both teams at least a place in the playoffs.
In the final round, Germany will host Slovakia at home. Due to Germany's superior goal difference, a draw in the final match will be enough for them to qualify directly for the World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
If Germany loses to Slovakia, Slovakia will overtake them to finish as group winners and qualify directly, while Germany would then enter the 16-team European playoffs, where only four teams will advance.
