Manchester United secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ruben Amorim’s side went into half-time level at 1-1 after Jean-Ricner Bellegarde cancelled out Bruno Fernandes’ 25th-minute opener in first-half stoppage time. The Portuguese midfielder restored United’s lead from the penalty spot in the 82nd minute and played a key role throughout, providing the assist for Mason Mount’s 62nd-minute strike that made it 3-1. Bryan Mbeumo had earlier extended the advantage six minutes into the second half.
Fernandes was named Man of the Match for a commanding display that included two goals, one assist and several progressive passes. The result marked United’s third win in their last four league outings and offered further evidence of improvement under Amorim following a difficult start to his tenure.
Wolves remain in the relegation zone, having now lost four of their last five matches. Gary O’Neil’s team showed fight before the interval but were overrun after the break as United controlled possession and created numerous second-half chances.
The three points lift Manchester United to within four points of the European places ahead of a busy December schedule.
