Inter Milan delivered a thrilling fightback on Sunday, overturning a two-goal deficit to defeat hosts Como 4-3 in a pulsating Serie A encounter at the Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia. The victory extended the Nerazzurri’s lead at the top of the table to nine points with just six matches remaining, moving them closer to a second consecutive Scudetto.

Como, impressively coached by Cesc Fàbregas, started strongly and raced into a 2-0 lead before halftime. Left-back Álex Valle opened the scoring in the 36th minute, before Nico Paz – netting his 12th Serie A goal of the season – doubled the advantage right on the stroke of half-time.

Lucas Da Cunha pulled a late goal back for Como from the penalty spot in the 89th minute, but the visitors held firm to secure all three points.

Thuram and Dumfries each bagged braces in a performance that highlighted Inter’s champion mentality. Despite Como’s spirited display and Paz’s fine form, Simone Inzaghi’s men showed why they remain the team to beat this season.The result leaves second-placed Napoli trailing by nine points after their earlier draw, putting Inter firmly in the driving seat for the title.
