Real Madrid Seal Deal for Rising Star Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig

Real Madrid have reached an agreement in principle with RB Leipzig to sign 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomande, the club’s latest high-profile addition this summer transfer window.

According to reports, everything has been agreed, with the player having already secured personal terms on a contract running until 2031. The deal, reportedly valued well over €100 million, brings an end to a high-stakes pursuit that also drew strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool.

Diomande joined Leipzig from Spanish side Leganés in 2025 for just €20 million. In his debut Bundesliga season, the dynamic right-sided attacker posted 12 goals and nine assists in 33 appearances, earning Rookie of the Season honours. His rapid rise continued at the 2026 World Cup, where he started for Ivory Coast, becoming one of the tournament’s standout young talents.

The move fits into Real Madrid’s squad overhaul under manager Jose Mourinho, who has already brought in players like Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konaté, Denzel Dumfries, and Marc Cucurella.
